Bupa joins Australian Open as official healthcare and digital health partner
Tennis Australia has announced a new multi-year partnership with Bupa, appointing the global healthcare provider as the official healthcare partner and digital health partner of the Australian Open.
The collaboration aims to promote health, well-being, and inclusion both on and off the court, while enhancing the overall fan experience.
Under the agreement, Bupa will serve as the supporting partner of All Abilities Day at the Australian Open and as the presenting partner of All Abilities Week, a nationwide tennis inclusion initiative.
The program is designed to expand participation opportunities for players across all abilities, including wheelchair, blind and low-vision, intellectual disability, deaf and hard-of-hearing, and para-standing tennis.
Bupa customers will also gain exclusive benefits during the tournament, including access to two-for-one Ground Passes on select days. In addition, Bupa’s digital health platform, Blua, will be featured in fan engagement initiatives, reflecting the company’s commitment to making preventive and digital healthcare more accessible to Australians.
Commenting on the occasion, Tennis Australia’s Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis said, “We’re proud to partner with Bupa to champion health and inclusion at the Australian Open. Whether it’s through All Abilities Day or offering more ways for people to pick up a racquet, this collaboration is about ensuring the AO continues to lead the way in creating a healthier, more inclusive sporting experience for everyone.
“All Abilities Week is a powerful way to kick off our partnership with Bupa. This great initiative will help to boost participation, raise awareness, and reinforce our shared commitment to health and inclusion, both on and off the court.”
Bupa APAC Chief Executive Officer Nick Stone added, “Sport played a vital role in Australians’ physical, mental, and social wellbeing, and Bupa’s partnership with the Australian Open would showcase innovative health services and inspire Australians to lead healthier lives, including through its digital health platform, Blua.
“As the Official Healthcare Partner and Digital Health partner of the Australian Open 2026, we feel privileged to be supporting the well-being of fans both on and off the court, and elevating the importance of inclusive and preventive health. Through the Open, we want to encourage Australians to take steps towards healthier lifestyles and showcase how technology, including on our Blua platform, can make healthcare more accessible, connected, and personalised.”
The partnership builds on Bupa’s growing portfolio of sports and inclusion initiatives, including collaborations with Paralympics Australia, Disability Sports Australia, New Zealand Rugby, and ParalympicsGB.
The Australian Open 2026 will be the first full edition of the tournament to feature Bupa’s activations under this agreement, underscoring Tennis Australia’s commitment to advancing health, accessibility, and innovation within the sporting landscape. Bupa joins Chubb as a partner of the upcoming edition of the Grand Slam.
